Random...and Slightly Odd...Acts of Kindness with Brandon Moss
Thursday Dec 12, 2019
Thursday Dec 12, 2019
To continue the Christmas theme of reaching out to those around you we have some super fun and touching examples of kindness. We heard a story about a group of friends in high school that decided to get super creative and fun with their acts of kindness, and you'll be blown away by the hilarious ways that they decided to make a difference. They honestly didn't even set out to make a lasting impact. When they stopped worrying about what others thought about them, and started looking outside themselves...the kindness just became a lot more natural and fun. We are so grateful for Brandon Moss being willing to come and share with us these stories from his high school days, and what motivated him to try a little harder to not let others go unseen.

This story sparked the idea for our theme for the Christmas season. We want to share with you stories from real people, to help you get excited about the possibilities that you might have to reach out and be a friend to others. Katie and Sophie are two teens that are sharing their experiences as they have embraced the idea that there is always room for one more. They have pushed themselves to open their circle and look a little harder for somebody who might need a smile, or an introduction.

This year to get you in the holiday spirit, we are focusing all of this months episodes on subjects that inspire you to look outside of yourself and look for others. Service is one of the best ways to make the Christmas season more meaningful. We can serve the physical needs of others as well as the emotional needs of others.
This episode is from when Tawni was a guest on the Real Connections Podcast with the host Cami Moss, (you'd love this podcast it is completely focused on creating real connections with others through meaningful experiences, it's one of our faves). Tawni shared about the service project that her family along with a few other families have done for these past 2 years. The hope is that you'll have ideas pop into your mind or what you might be able to do to help others in need. A service project is a great way to get the season rolling!
